2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake & Tsunami Info
In India, 10,136 people, according to official estimates, were killed and hundreds of thousands were rendered homeless when a tsunami triggered by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake near the Indonesian island of Sumatra hit the southern peninsular coast on 26 December 2004. The earthquake registered 9.0 in moment magnitude and was the biggest in four decades. This was followed by strong aftershocks, including a 6.5 magnitude quake.

mystery. Amidst our languages, traditions, and cultures, God's
way for us is fully perfected through Jesus Christ.
In
life, we encounter conflict, crisis, political insecurity,
economic challenge, disruption and disappointment. Can we
find an answer for the problems of life?
Can
the basis of your belief be easily defined? Does a unique
philosophy form the basis of your faith? What is the theoretical
premise and practical expression of your God?
Jesus
Christ is the most well known figure in history. Who did he
claim to be? Was He a prophet? A teacher? Was He the deliverer,
the liberator, the Redeemer, for all of mankind as predicted
in the Word of God? Followers of Jesus believe He is the Holy
One, who died on the cross as a sacrifice for mankind, and
was resurrected to provide salvation and eternal life for
all who believe and acknowledge Jesus as personal Savior.
In one of His most
well known teachings, Jesus tells us that God knows our situation
and condition. Jesus teaches comfort, mercy, and peace. Jesus
teaches that we have a blessing and future in God.
We
have an incomparable hope in Jesus Christ. Yes, there is a
heaven. All who believe in Jesus Christ have the hope and
promise of eternal life in heaven.
Many
of our people in India believe that liberation is the goal
of human existence. Jesus Christ is an indispensable necessity
of a relationship with God. Knowledge of God, and a personal
relationship with God, are indispensable for our spiritual
progress.
The
Word of God tells us that if we find wisdom, we will have
a bright future. God
loves you and desires a personal relationship with you. God
desires that a newness of life for you.
