Can
the basis of your belief be easily defined? Does a unique
philosophy form the basis of your faith? What is the theoretical
premise and practical expression of your God?
Many
in India do not worship one God. Many of our people in India
worship Shiva and Vishnu and Rama and Krishna or some other
gods and goddesses. Some others believe in an 'Indestructible
Soul' within each individual. We have broad contrasts of religion
in India, with some exploring the 'Ultimate Reality' of life
without looking to God. Seeking peace, harmony and liberation,
many in India worship spirits, trees, animals, planets, sun,
moon, rivers, and oceans. Some of the worship is expressed
in the popular fairs, festivals and rituals such as Deepawali,
Holi, Dussehra, Ganesh Chaturthi, Pongal, Janamasthmi and
Shiva Ratri. And, while these festivals provide our unique
cultural fabric and make our Indian tradition rich and colorful,
we must pause and ask ourselves - do we truly seek, acknowledge,
and know God?
There
is one God. God is supreme and all-powerful. God is the Creator
of all. God has the following qualities:

all. Matt 10:29
